    Its broader than that, the law prohibits the 'use of the Internet' in order to 'transfer content without the permission of the copyright holder' .

    Story on The Reg . While the law is aimed primarily at P2P users and no doubt instigated by the Cocaine .....sorry thats ...... Music Industry it appears to be worded in such a way that quoting a post above yours in a thread could put you on legally thin ice.

    They will take yer rig as well :D and list your name in the papers like a tax dodger here.

    I don't know the legality of it all, but wouldn't crediting the original poster cover you? Like in an essay for example?

    jail term between "6months and 3 years" ... pfft. i could get into a car drunk and hit someone over here and get less time. odd that italy clamps down on illegal p2p sharing just as greece clamps down on illegal software ...
