Inside Radio 252 is a Celeb Reality TV show where 7 women have to live in a house for seven day and run a Radio Show. Its on RTE 2 everynight at 9:30 and its on 89.9 fm and i was just wondering if anyone is watching it?

Amanda got voted out tonight and i'm not surprised, she is a bitch and its ok for her to slag you off but dont dare slag her off. And she is mad about her Boobs.

Fiona is also a cow and VERY depressing and has issues. she picked on Emma tonight( the woman i love ) for not putting the plates in the dish washing. she made Emma cry, if i had of been there i tell you......

Did you see jason McAteer as the guest. BRILLIANT. i felt sorry for him. he must of thought i'll go in and have a few drinks and a laugh, he was stuck right in the middle of the fighting.
He stayed the night and when the alarm went off and he jumped up i couldnt stop laughing.

I hope Emma Wins, she is good on TV and the Radio. I think its the best Reality show ever. Cant wait to see Dunphy tomorrow as the guest!

    "Celeb Reality TV show" :D
That's a good one. I'd never heard of any of them except Emma and Amanda before this. And I think Amanda Brunker's claim to fame is having a fight with Jordan or something like that? Join the queue love.
What a steaming pile of horse sh1te. I wish they'd stop with all this reality TV crap, especially the "once were celebrity" versions. Down with this sort of thing, and so on.

I think the show has some merits, but some major weaknesses. People are always very quick to put down RTE, especially if Gerry Ryan has anything to do with it - many times the only substance to the claim that the show is poor is because it is RTE / Ryan etc! No discussion as to whats good / bad, or how things might be improved.

    So, trying to be balanced:

    Good Points
    1. OK, its reality TV, but it has a different dimension. Using the Radio station as the focal point makes the show more interesting than other reality shows - where there simply is no point at all, or else the producers come up with ridiculous manufactured situations to create temporary focus.
    2. It was a good idea, imho, to have only girls in the house. Blokes watch, girls watch, and there is a good chance of some good ole' bitching going on.
    3. I think that Gerry Ryan has done a good job.
    4. It is for charity, as well as raising cash on its own, it is also designed to raise awareness for Telethon.
    5. The commercial sponsorship is great way to ratchet up large charity donations.

    Bad Points
    1. It is difficult to listen to that station for any length. The presenters are incredibly poor at times.
    2. I didn't think I could ever find merit in the concept of a playlist, but some of the presenters should not have been allowed free rein in the selection of their music.
    3. I cringed when I heard that the forfeit for dropping points was the loss of make-up / beauty treatments.
    4. The celebrities really are bottom-of-barrel material. I don't think I could recognize more than one person by face, two by name or three by reference to their background. IMHO a crunch question has to be asked about celebrity reality TV - are the participants going to be recognizable and understood sufficiently by the public in a way that generates interest in the show. That selection fails miserably, and must rank as the poorest group of celebs RTE have ever used for any reality show.

Arguably the same (awful) barrel as Celebrity Farm....

Not as bad as celebrity Farm but still isnt good. When will rte learn to put on good tv

This is trash TV. How much is this programme costing RTE - would they not be better just giving the money to charity.

RTE's ability to make decent programmes is questionable.

Does anyone know if it is being streamed on-line?

I think I must be very sick/sad, I'm actually enjoying the show!!! Fiona is a right bitch. All the women are either fighting or crying, sums them up really.

Watched it tonight for the first time.
What a shambles. The picture was breaking up to an unwatchable level for the first 20 minutes.
In 4 years of Big Brother on Channel 4 i cannot recall a technical hitch.
Says a lot for RTE methinks.

the show is dog shoite plain and simple and I am usually very open to realty tv, however this is just a poor show, very uninteresting, what made rte replce scrubs?

I never said Amanda wasnt evetertaining, i wasnt surprised she got voted out but i was a bit disappointed cause her Radio shows were good.

How does no one know Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh. Did you never watch Echo Island??
Again i was disappointed Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh got voted out, she was has been good the past few days and how in the name of god is Fiona still there?? she is boring and a cow.

I dont know what was going on with RTE tonight?? the screen was screwed up for the first few minutes. thats RTE for you. And Gerry Ryan just doesnt work on TV. he has a face for Radio and should stay away from presenting anything.

i'm with B-Man on this one...............and why was it all women????
ffs try to make it even slightly interesting.

its sucks big hairy donkey dìck. never even heard of most of these idiots!

good old RTE. makes Fair City look entertaining! :D

If it was going to be an on-going tv series then I would agree that it is a pile of crap but I think it's a great way of making money for charity.

Fair play to the participants and in fairness whoever thought up the idea deserves a medal. How else are Telethon going to get teenagers to participate?? The whole reality tv thing and being able to vote by text will ensure that young people are involved. When I was a kid we always used to organise events for Telethon but I haven't seen any of the young ones around here do anything for it in years.

It may be annoying but it's only for a week. The radio shows themselves aren't worth listening to but the tv show is quite funny with the amount of bitching going on.

Fiona McShane's teeth are scary. She could eat a cabbage through a letter box.

That Emma is a fine thing though. I must find out where she lives and stalk her.

    Bláthnaid....

Emma is hot. Brunker was alright on the radio.

Celebrity reality tv is pointless unless you can get A-list celebrities to be on it (hasn't happened anywhere yet).

In Ireland that would be Bono, Colin Farrell, Gabriel Byrne and......hmmmm......

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,924 ✭✭✭✭BuffyBot

Being in the UK, I haven't got to see the show. However, as a concept it is a good one - a damn sight better than "Celebrity Farm"

    Its a **** programme.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,730 ✭✭✭✭simu

The programme is watchable in a come home from work, too tired to do anything else kind of way. They should get rid of Gerry Ryan though - he's very irritating.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 622 ✭✭✭Quatre Mains

of course its crap, sure what did you expect? Its for charity tho so no harm done except for no 24 as someone else said. And that Emma one is a bona-fide ride
