It would be similar to that of the army mate.

    1. Fitness and overall health

    2. You can do a course for the Garda Exam in a few places around Dublin and Ireland.

    3. Try reading up on legislation and the roles of the Garda, new white papers etc.

I went for the Garda about 7 years ago but the army inticed me to much so I went there instead.

It is tough finacially starting off unless that has changed but worth it when you pass out.

What age are you, I think they have a upper ager Limit of 26 Years at the moment.

The Interview is Mainly about subjects such as current affairs etc and your knowledge of policing and various other subjects.

A point to note it may be off help and go towards in a good way if you join your local FCA unit for a few months it looks better and makes you look like your interested in team work. It takes a few weeks to join up.
