I've developed what I believe is a symptom of an STD over the past few days. I live in Dublin and want to know what to do, where to go because it has me very worried right now. Is there a clinic you can go to and if so does anyone have more information about it? I regularly have protected sex with my girlfriend but once or twice we had unprotected sex over the last few weeks. Any advice on this would be very appreciated.

    also
do not have sex with your girlfriend again until you have been given the all clear, she should get herself checked out too.

    1) go to the doctor
    2) dump your girlfriend

sorry 2) sounds a bit harsh, but, you gotta work out where you got it? Are you guys going out long? Anyone doing the dirt?

Don't dump your girl-friend just yet VeryWorried. Some viral STD such as HPV (warts) can lie dormant in either your body or hers and only appear months or years after you first contract them. Other STDs such as Chlymida can be in the body but present no viable symptoms.

Because one of you has a STD doesn't mean the other was fooling around behind the others back. Not saying she isn't, but don't blow up and do something you might regret.

It is very very important that both of you are fully tested. You don't say what STD you think you have but some such as HPV or Chlymida can be very dangerous if not treated, especially for females.

Also remember, that despite the fact that it is never mentioned on the (inceasingly sex mad) TV or in Movies, you are not alone so there is no need to feel ashamed or embarrashed about talking about it. It is estimated that 1 in 4 under 35 year olds have an STD at the moment.

I am not sure if the mater is realy an option a few years ago they where only seeing something like the first 12 people who showed up each day

Contact Jame's and get an apointment for both of you. If you do a serach you will find threads which go into detail about the tests and procedures at the clinic.

re-reading your post you don't mention that you have spoken to your girlfriend about this, if not that is something you have to do urgently for both your healths sake
