    Hi,

I just got my first car 3 weeks ago. 97 Ford Fiesta. Thing is the car radio is gammy. It only holds 3 radio stations and is built into the facia. The KA has the exact same sort of radio. I bought one of those gadget things that let you listen to your cd player thtough your casette. The sound quality isnt great though. Would it be the speakers that need changing or the stereo. Those any one have any experience in this kind of thing.

    Hi,
I would say it's the radio that needs changing. Basically the sound from the CD player is being transferred to the head on the cassette player (which could be old and dirty). That's why the sound isn't great when you play a CD. Ideally, I'd get a new head-unit. You can buy facia adaptors for the Fiesta which will allow you to put a new head-unit into your car and doesn't ruin your dash. (I can show you a photo of one fitted if you like)

    Louie sells these @ http://www.besecure2000.com

    The adaptor:

Obviously, if cash is a problem, you could always buy a cassette player head cleaner and see if that clears up the sound a bit....

    Hope this helps,

    DC.
