I was flicking through the Argos catalogue today when I came across something called the Phantom PVR from Digilink. It purports to be a way of linking a standard VCR to the Sky EPG. I subsequently found a reference to it on the Web and apparently what it does is detect the Autotune signal from the Sky box and send a start record instruction to the VCR via an IR link and sets the VCR to the correct channel via the SCART cable.

Question: has anyone on this board used one of these and if so is it any good?

I can't recall exactly but I think it was in the 45-50 euro region.
