Looking for a rucksack with the following:

    1) Detachable daypack
    2) Front opening (as opposed to top opening)
    3) Ideally with stow-away straps for when you're checking it on board a plane.

It'll be used during a long (3 mth) trip through S.America so it needs to be decent quality.
Anyone recommend anywhere online or offline where you can get these cheap-ish (I realise you pay for quality etc.)

    Thanks.

I got one exactly the same features you're looking for in ramblers way on mary street in dublin. Mine cost 80-90Euro I think. Thats for the 90 litre size. Smaller ones will be cheaper. I did quite a bit of looking around and found ramblers way to be the cheapest by far.
