    looking for help
my computer is running very slow lately
especialy on the internet, i have broadband
    it has the following specs

    Processer|AMD Athlon(tm) processor 1.1 GHz
    BIOS|Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG Phoenix-Award BIOS v6.00PG, 02/25/03
    RAM|224 MB (91% Utilized)
Task Manager says i'm using 706 out 799MB of Memory!
The memory in the task list doesn't add up to this.

Sasser was detected last week but was successfully removed.
Anyone have ideas of how i can free up more memory?
    Much appreciated

    le meas
    °g:)

Disable any apps that are launched on startup, so your systray only shows the time and volume control.

and don't forget to leave your firewall running (if you hve a software one) and your anti-virus :p.

Other than that, close off all those "quick launch" thing as mentioned above, all they do is slow down the computer.

A reformat would be ideal, but ya remove all applications that you arent using much.

That is alot of ram to be using on startup. What processes are using the most ram?
