Mods feel free to move this where you think appropriate, don't think they would like it on the for sale board yet coz it technically ain't for sale right now...but will be soon.

anyways, i would really appreciate it if anyone out there could give me a realistic price on my brothers pc which he is going to be selling in the near future. obviously people here on boards know there stuff and wont pay over the top for old gear and that's fair enough. if anyone could give me two prices for the following item, a boards.ie price ;) and a price that an average joe soap might pay for some like this i would greatly appreciate it :)

    Philips PC:

    Monitor: phillips 17" 107E (max res 1280x1024)

    Cpu: amd athlon xp1400 (1200mhz @ 6x200mhz)

MB: Gigabyte GA-7zmm (3 pci, 1 agp, 1 amr, audio, video)

Ram: 2x256Mb PC133 SDRAM (512MB total) (don't know the make)

GFX: Nvidia GeForce 2 GTS 64Mb

Sound: Creative SB PC128 (i think or that may be the onboard sound)

    CDs: LG CDRW ced-8120b (12x/8x/32x)
    Samsung CD-Rom sc-152c (52x)

    HDD'd: Maxtor 33073h3 30Gb, 5400rpm, ultra ata 100
    Seagate Barracuda st330630a 30 Gb, 7200rpm, ultra ata 66

Modem: generic 56k HCF data fax modem

    Fdd: Standard Floppy Drive

    Speakers: Yamaha YST-MS28 (2x sattelites + Bass)

Scanner: Trust Office Scan 19200 flatbed scanner

Printer: Epson Stylus Photo 790 (colour is fine but the black ain't great, head needs a proper cleaning)

Software: Win ME + Office 97 original cd's

he also has a small desk and chair that he is willing to let go with the pc for no extra cost really, so as you can see would make a great first timers pc, boards users will probably laugh at it, but if anyone can give a rough estimate as to what it might sell for or even any offers if your interested i will pass the info on and get back to you as soon as i can.

    Thanks in advance.

You be lucky to get 350 on boards and 5 at a push of a joe soap ,find someone you know to buy it.

350-400 i'd say. Try and flog it for more in the buy and sell... there are always people who don't really know what a PC is worth.

If you're shipping it with keyboard/mouse etc. I reckon you might get as much a e550 for it, people will pay more for a complete system. You could sell the RAM alone for most of e100.
