It really f**kin' hurts, depending on where your getting it done. There's a dental hosptial in trinity college which patients are refared to, who do know what they are doing. local dentist on the other hand don't always and can be to lite on the drugs.

    good luck :p

No - I haven't and don't know of anyone who has gone thru' this. But...
If you leave things as they are, the infection will get worse and may form an abscess

I know a couple of ppl that have developed abscesses (whether that involves a similar procedure for removal I don't know) but that were desperately painful. I remember when I was about 8, my mother getting one, and her swigging and spitting out water for hours on end for a second of relief because the pain was so bad - it was a bank holiday w/end at the time. I also know of a guy in my last job that was on holidays when one hit, and he took some serious drugs (legal) to ease the pain, and nothing worked - it was seriously painful. So I can't tell you what the procedure will involved, but it seems like a better alternative.

I know what the procedure will involve and all that crap, but just trying to see if I could get some info from someone who had it done!

I got the infection, for a second time, over the easter bank holiday weekend, and ohh my god was I in pain!! Went to the doctor and begged for pain relief, he gave me one of the strongest pain killers he could, he said it was an anology of morphine!! I was tripping off my head for days! I knew the pain was still there but I just didnt care about it!!
    If I sold em in a club I'd make a fortune!! :D

Am getting it done in the Mercy hospital in Cork!
