hey all, just wonder what are Abstract Data Types, COM & DCOM in VB? Looked in my VB 6 book but it aint there. It came up in a few questions in my exams a few years back and is tipped to come up again. thanks

Please correct me if I am wrong,

Abstract Data Types (ADT):
A data type you cannot use directly and they have their own set of functions.
and you can use any other data types with ADT.

For VB there are ARRAY and COLLECTION.

You should be able fo find lots info regarding COM and DCOM,
They were called ActiveX.
