So far i've done three exams, so i'm only half way there.

I think i may have passed then all, but only by the hairs on my chiny-chin-chin.

Good stuff Stephen, who did ya have for maths this year??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,484 ✭✭✭✭Stephen

Martina O Gorman, she's fairly good. Getting to leave the entire cryptography section out of my studying was great, though it did make up 2 full questions in the exam.

Well in Cw046, we have Joe Bennet and Martina Gorman who I think are both bad. It could be though that there very good its just people dont give a bollox about maths. I just want to get about 50% in maths myself tomorrow. Anybody know why Complex Numbers, Laplace Functions and Vectors have to do with computers again........... bye the way, Ross Palmer is the devil.... ;-)

ahh i dont think test of ross's was too bad, like i didnt pass it, but i didnt need to, if you read the 8 chapters that we have a few times youd be able to pass no problem.... but sure isint that the case with every subject??

Joe over simplifies and confuses and i dont have a problem with martina i only wish i went to her classes more.... that **** power one we had before martina turned me off maths as she always used to ignore me if i had any problems in the class

vectors are used when controlling robot arms afaik
eg. how far to move arm, what speed to move at, what direction, what force if lifting something, acceleration/de acceleration of the arm during movement. I forget why laplace is relevant but there's some slight relevance there, what the fuck are you moanin at anyways? youre sorted like

I have an exam in Building Structure's today and after looking at last years exam paper i've realised that the teachers never went over any of that **** this year, so if we get a paper like that this year i'm ****ed.

The course content may change from year to year, so you may see strange things in past papers. Its highly unlikely now that the lecturers would examine you on stuff they didn't present to the class during the year.

Bah - I was being a hypocrite - my last exam is tomorrow and I have done no work for it, it's impossible look at that sun , I can almost feel the freedom:D. So basically I'll fail one but that doesn't mean anything I only afto repeat if I fail two ;). This time tomorrow I'll be a free man - screw you Uni!!! - for another year that is:rolleyes:. I'm sure you guys are OK, how many exams are you allowed fail before you have to repeat them?.

<edit> Our exams are really easy for one exam the paper was exactly the same as lasts year - WORD for WORD.</edit>

Eh, if you want to progress to the next year of your course you have to pass ALL of your exams.

Crap, very crap Stephen we are given a very easy time here in UCD you afto aim to fail to fail;), except for one vicious lecturer - 70% average fail rate - he pretty much stated his aim was to fail as many as he could:mad:. Do you afto repeat all your exams?, I think we only repeat the ones we fail. How many are you all doing?, were doing 8 in the summer 1 in x-mas and one which was all practical so no sitting exam just a year project.

You only have to repeat the ones you fail. We don't have xmas exams, but we do have continuous assessments all year.
I had 6 exams at the end of the year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,334 ✭✭✭OfflerCrocGod

I'd prefer CA - 6 exams not bad, should be manageable. Well the best of luck to you all - this time tomorrow I'll be a happy free man:D, YEEEESSSSSSS.

yeah, we had 2 of them, though i think our data structures exam had 2 questions switched around, dont you just love lazy lecturers when it comes to exam time?
