Sabbatical Leave

    HI !

Recently came into my head the idea to spend 2/3 months in Spain, learning the language. Problem is that I am currently employed here in Dublin with a permanent contract. As I don’t want to lose my job, I would like to propose to my employer if I can take a sabbatical leave.

Does this exist in Ireland? Is it ruled by any constitutional “working rights” or something?

I know this “leave” exists in other European countries, but I never heard anything similar here.

    THANKS !
