im the first to admit that i dont usually like this genre of music.. but i listened to this record in tower records last weekend and i thought it was really good... i was considering buying it based on the time that i had listened to it... i listened to pretty much every track most of the way through...

I was very surprised by how good it was... This guy is a bit of a genius in my book.. some of the sounds on it were very unique and it sounded generally very good...

I didnt hear much of the first album, but if you say its better i think i might buy it.. its only 9.99 in hmv at the mo...

Yeh im a big Streets fan myself, the first album rules tbh,but im not too impressed with the newest one at all, even after a few listens.
Theres a few good songs alright (blinded by the lights and what is he thinking).
    But other than that....

I just don't see the attraction myself,

A guy from Birmingham who talks like a cockney, mc'ing about 'Street' life over
    badly produced 'urban-style' music!

    Hmmmmm!

plus points are it's kinda entertaining, lyrics and delivery are mildly amusing. otherwise, not much for me.

yeah but its not "beemers and hoes, glocks and glamour" street life, its "fights in a chip shop and hanging out in a bookmakers" street life... for which i salute him. badly produced, yeah it is, but its not about clever production... lets face it, if it was all about musicianship noone would have listened to nirvana or the sex pistols... my only real misgiving about the whole thing is the fetishization of working class poverty that began with the first album... doubt i'll get this, bought the last one and thought it was great in parts and a bit dodgy in others. "stay positive" is still one of the best tunes in any genre in the last few years imo.

    I love the 2 albums.
I also think AGDCFF is just as good as OPM, i kinda think the only reason people think its not up to that standard is OPM was so new, so fresh that it was a real breath of fresh air, wed never heard anythin like it and we were cryin out for the likes of Skinner and the Streets even if we didnt know it. Mike could never recreate that sort of feelin without inventin some other completely revolutionary ****...its more of the same, but still TOP NOTCH. 2 classic albums.
its a bit like the Matrix really....you know the way we were blown away by the 1st one, then when the second one came along, we loved it but werent blown away cos we didnt have to wrap our heads around the concept like we did with no.1 cos it wasnt new to us. am i makin sense?

I think it's a great album bar maybe two songs. The storyline theme is clever and most tunes are enjoyable. Possibly not everyone's cup of tea though...

haven't heard the new album but i thought they were the best thing at witness last year (i know absolutely no one agrees with me) bar the campsite. i've heard two tracks off it and i like them both. the remix of the single with a few unsigned mcs on it is deadly aswell.
