    hi all!
just wonderin if they give you any pain relief from tounge piercings, gas, injections, or something.
and is it true that if you have a line underneath your tounge you cant get it pierced coz it will swell up, or you'll bleed 2 death, or something....

please set me straight on this.
    Thanks!
    xxx:)

nope only takes a second . needle pops through yer tongue and its done. just yer tongue swells up for a few days. also if you need gases and stuff yer missing half the fun of a piercing.

The line doesnt matter, its the veins. If they are in the way then your tongue cant be pierced but they usually find a way to 'miss' them. There is no anaesthetic, its not sore what so ever, i've done more damage biting my tongue! And having any kind of pain relief just takes away from the adrenalin rush ya get with a piercing.

its grand gettin it done..the swelling is the worst.. but mine went down in two days.. the actual peircing was fine.. the top of my ear was way sorer if thats any help.. not much if you haven't the top of your ear done though he he.. :D

geting things numbed slows the process of healing... so its not really worth it in the long run

    go for it.

as the others said get your tongue numbed and youll miss the rush you get from the piercing!

gonna get mine done during the summer!

when i went to get my tongue pierced the piercer said he didnt want to numb my tongue as it could have the chance of slipping back in my throat so i just went ahead with it.
Plus the line down the middle of your tongue is all dead skin holding two muscles together, theres another sheet of muscle above your tonuge and a sheet of muscle below your tongue so you only feel it piercing thru them, didnt hurt too bad imo

It's illegal for someone who isn't a doctor to administer any of the anaesthetics you mention, and it's really not going to be worth it, a piercing takes a few seconds, you're not having an operation :P

Yes you can have serious bleeding if the veins under the tongue are severed but the piercer would have to be blind/drunk/a psychopath to hit them, they PRETTY obvious, aren't they :)

You have no feeling on the inside of your tongue, it just hurts going in and out, plus it dosen't really hurt you'll have loads of adrenlin pumping so you wont notice any pain.
Afterwards its uncomfortable and a little annoying, but again its certainly not painful.

    gogo:p
