I'd ring that guy who does the Lucozade ads. I'd love him to be my coach. one hundred and thirty three percent.

    What's a life coach?

TBH, anyone who's still alive isn't qualified to give courses on life.

I'm sure there's loads of motivational books you can read - it'll cost you a fraction of the price (nothing if you use a library;) ). Other than that I can't recall anyone using an actual life coach...

I think Dr. Phil is a life coach? He's quite good actually.

Does Tony Robbins count too? GET THE EDGE!

Waste of time and money if you ask me. Maybe read a book like p.pete suggested but I can't see the point myself. They're no different from televanglists, it's all brainwashing.

I know someone who does ‘life coaching’ (in Booterstown). PM me for details.

Life coaching, in fact, is a very powerful tool to help people who are going through difficult times in their life. It generally involves your coach counselling you to know more about yourself, your goals etc and helps you identify your strengths and weaknesses and helps/motivates you to do better.

    HTH,

    Pos.

Albom, Mitch, "Tuesdays with Morrie", Little Brown & Co, 1997. ISBN 0316648051

It is the life lessons of a dying man, a wonderful gift, a wonderful book, and a compassionate testament to life in the face of death.

Best life coach I have seen :)

Aren't life coaches people who couldn't manage to get a degree/msc in psycology?

IMO they are very much a waste of time... then again i don't have problems organising my life so what do i know.

No 'Life Coaches' are not people with MSc in pyschology,
People with MSc in Pyschology are Pyschologists (Clinical, Forsenic, Health etc)

Life Coaches are more into motivational outlook and how to achieve goals etc much more similiar to Guidance Councillors or Career Advisors.

So I ended up giving the above crowd a ring the other day. This whole life coaching thing can rack up quite the few €€€ in a short amount of time.

Prices for Personal Life Coaching can range between €60 - €150 and hour. This was a rough quote I got from one of the guys there. I'll get a better one from the actual person giving the session. I should hear more later today.

I'm not the original poster of this thread but this does interest me and since there are so many people viewing this thread I thought I'd check it all out.
    :-)
