Good stuff. She was completely crazy by the end and the order of her execution, by one Jed Bush, just makes me love the Bush clan even more - just when I thought it wasn't possible!
It's also interesting to see just what a good job Charlize Théron did in "Monster".
However, my admiration for her portrayal was far outstripped by my absolute horror at Alieen's life. It's the sort of case that, if it were a case in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" I'd find implausible because it's filled with such pain and abuse. Noone ever should have had to live like she did.
I hope, in the end, that the giant mothership did take her away to the angels.

Strange to see the change that 12 years in prison made to her! When she was first convicted she seemed perfectly reasonable and sane (of course not completely true since she was a serial killer)... but after 12 years she had completely lost the plot. She thought the tv was controlling her using "sonic pressure" or such such paranoid delusional idea.

By the end she was nuts, but since america allows the execution of mentally ill people, this wasnt going to save her. Makes you wonder about the term "correctional facilities" for prisons when they are so obviously the opposite.

yeah i saw this last night.. it was a really good documentary....

have to agree... she was completely nuts by the end.. she shouldn't have been executed in that frame of mind according to the constitution.. thats what i picked up from what they were saying..

it was funny how 3 phyciatrists deemed her fit and sane to be executed in a 15 minute examination... how the hell could they see that she wasn't a raving looney at that stage!! As the narrator said.. imagine what it would take to be deemed insane!!!

It was obviously a push by Jed Bush to get her executed before the election which was a few weeks later... makes me sick that she was used for this purpose...

Dont get me wrong... what she did was wrong and deserved a punishment (life imprisonment as she was insane)...

I dont agree with the death penalty though... it has been proven that states without the death penalty have lower murder rates.. its not a deterrant... its just sick...

really good doc. though... she had a crazy upbringing, which ultimately led to her actions...

Thanks for the heads up about this documentary. It was really worth watching, hard to believe what a ****ty life she had, and sad to see her going crazy over time. She seemed almost normal at the beginning of the docu, apart from her serial kills obviously. She wasn't blameless for what she did, but its hard not to think that her upbringing made her the way she was. If she'd gotten a few breaks along the way....
