i have interactual player, MSI DVD, Power DVD XP 4, InterVideo WinDVD 4, CuteDVD player and probably a cupla other installed on my pc. yesterday i put in a DVD into my dvdrom and interactual said that there was a CSS error and it couldnt decode it coz i didnt have a software decoder installed. i know interactual isnt a decoder, but i thought powerdvd or pcfriendly etc would install a decoder with them. InterVideo DVD is the only one that works but it becomes choppy (with DMA on) a few mins into the film. can anyone shed some light on this for me? i used to be able to watch dvds before.

    specs:
    AMD Athlon XP 2200+,
    512mb ram,
    onboard 32 mb s3 graphics (sh*t),
    win xp pro.

    /edit
    ignore this...
i didn't read the original post properly
uninstalling all of your dvd player apps & then installing only the one you're most likely to use is what i'd do
