    try http://www.rockdirect.com/

They've some nice stuff there, not sure if you'll get something for €1000 or under but it's worth a look. A friend of mine bought one of their machines a few years ago and apparently theyre very reliable.

The battery lifes ****, but if you're not worried about that that's a pretty good deal. You won't get a better gaming laptop (on paper anyway) for that money, you might get a better looking one though. Don't forget to buy an optical mouse with it, it's vital.

That AMD64 looks a great deal. I have a Sony with a fx5600 and a 16" screen. I wanted it as desktop replacement and for that its fine, as it only has a 1 hour battery life, or two with a 2nd battery. The Radeon and the AMD should make that Laptop a lot quicker. It doesn't say what the res on the screen is. But 1024x768 would give a lot more fps than a screen with higher res. Mine is 1280x1024 and while it great for work, some of the latest games req me to drop the detail a bit.

They don't ship to ireland. I think they'll ship to the north if you have an address up there you can use.

    http://www.acernotebooks.co.uk/acersite/asp/default.asp

Same Acer laptop that you are looking for, plus free case,
mouse, software AND they ship to Rep. of Ireland (£64).

Or in ireland on elara's site....

    http://www.elara.ie/products/detailsfull.asp?productcode=ECE911547&productID=81567

Think its pretty similar to what you posted and is a shade over 1422 yoyo's. And if you can pick it up off them you save on delivery too.
