Anyone have any experience with these? Closing sale on atm in Jeffers in Cork and apparently they have a lot of them going dirt cheap (electrics that is), fairly knowledgable friend of mine thinks I should pick one up, anyone got any opinions or advice? I know they're kinda el cheapo guitars anyway but as someone who only owns one pretty dire electric is it worth my while getting one?

Vintage probably make the best quality replicas you can get for that kind of money. I'd highly recommend them.

Could you find out how much their Vintage Les Paul Specials are going for?

Cool, I'm gonna try and make it in there over the weekend so I'll try and find that out for you (if they have any that is!)

Everything is half price I think, so anywhere between €100 and €200.

Ooooh baby! Half price! The Les Paul Specials cost about £140 sterling so its got to be super cheap! Yummy!

Yeah, like I said though I dunno what they have and don't have, looking for one of the Gibson SG replicas myself or perhaps a Strat style type thing... or maybe one of the METAL AXXE!!!!! ones, hmm

My mate told me yesterday that I should go in really early today if I wanted to get something which I kinda disregarded, he wasn't kidding though - I rang them about an hour ago and the guy said they had twelve electrics left, most of them being lefties :P

I got one of the Vintage Les Paul copies in Jeffers. It is quite a nice axe. Incredible, for the price in fact. The setup was a little off ( E and A string buzzing ), and it wouldnt be suitable for tapping or speed metal riffs ( not that I can play that stuff anyway ), but a very playable rhythm guitar. I haven't picked up my strat since I bought it. Sorely tempted to go in and buy an SG copy now.....
