AIB For-Ex overcharging

This story seems a bit wierd TBH.
Can anyone tell me if AIB were quoting 1% or 0.5% to customers in their marketing bumf and terms and conditions literature during the 8 year period?
If they notified the ODCA years ago that it was one thing but were telling customers the truth in all of their literature then this is a relatively minor problem.

If, on the other hand all customer information stated the commission was 0.5% while actually 1% was being deducted then this is absolutely scandalous but what is even more surprising would be that none of their €14 million losing customers noticed that they were being overcharged!

I mean most of these customers are business people. Ffs don't they check their bills?
