Sony T610 - need some help unlocking

Word up.

I'm trying to unlock my Sony Ericsson T610.

I have the codes from o2, but when I try to type them I'm getting no where.

Do I just type them as if I'm dialing someone?

Example -

I have to start with #pw

- how do I get the w to appear? All that will appear for me is a 9.

Any help appreciated.

Try the following:

joystick left, *, *, joystick left

that should give you a menu where you can enter unlock codes.

beware that if you enter it wrong 5 times your phone will be locked.

I've unlocked mine - but wish to reconfigure the "vodafone live" buttons - anyone know how???

When I do the left * * left I get a menu with "Network" and "Network subset".

If I choose either of those I get "MNC2" and "MNC3".

I have no idea what these mean.

Do you know which I have to choose?

iu have a terminator cable which both unlocked it and uncustomised the software for me

I guy in work was asking me about unlocking his sony t610 - is there a free site somewhere that people can get the codes from or would you have to go in to a o2 shop or something to get the code for his phone ?

the only place i know that gives u the code is whoever it has been locked to ,

Only other way to do it is with a cable
