    Try Charging it using the AC adapter. Without it connected to a PC. Just to see if it will charge.

    BTW That symbol on the top left doesn't mean its charging. It something to do with Updating it. Its charging if The battery meter has a "lighting Bolt" beside it.

    Yeah that could be a problem. If it doesnt work the Apple shop might be of some help.

    The US uses different Voltages or Frequency or something like that so its possible the Ac adapter Wont work at all

    Edit: This might be what your looking for. But it should charge off the firewire. Is it completly dead? If so it might need a "jump start" from a AC power source

    Not really. When i put my iPod into the dock that icon comes up for a few seconds. Posibly something to do with the Updating Process? Syncing the clock possibly....

    Yeah it does both at once. Is the ipod completly dead?

    Hmm sounds wierd. When its connected to firewire it updates automatically using alot of battery. It still should work TBH.

    Prehaps a loan of a AC adapter? Or ask in an apple shop if theyd let you try to charge it........:confused::confused:
