Moving to a house in St Annes in Terenure. Just of Kimmage Road West.
Looking to move my NTL digital but i have been told my an NTL sales guy that Digital isnt available in that area. Took me by surprise as i thought all of Dublin was covered by Digital by now. Anyone know when this area is due to be upgraded or even if the sales guy was talking through his bum?

If you move house and your the person who pays for the digital service in the house can you just take the set top box with you?

They really are an amazing crowd. One guy tells me it wont require an engineer to visit site, the next says it will.... wonder what will happen next time i call.

Right so, the service guys in NTL say that i cant get digital here as the signal level is too low. There is an engineer due to arrive on Wednesday to reconnect the analogue back up. Strange thing is that when i connect the analogue cable thats here to my tellie i get most of the normal channels (RTE, TV3, BBC 1 and 2, Channel 4, Sky and MTV....maybe a couple more) however, the quality is awful with only TV3 being close to good enough. I have retuned the television just in case the frequencies were different than where i was previously with the same results. This wouldnt indicate that the cable is being split and shared amongst my neighbours would it?

Will try that alright. Would the cable not have to be enabled for digital in some way though? Or is it just a case of plugging in the stb and getting digital? Seems strange, as if i did get something on the stb i would in effect get free digital?

Cableguy - you can actually now get a good number of tv stations, aswell as radio stations FREE on the digital (ie. without a viewing card or sub). They're not nagracrypted, for some strange reason!!!

Well, NTL arrived today (after not showing up this morning as promised, another complaint later and they were in here in 45 minutes) and connected up the analogue. All is fine there so i popped on the digital box and surprise surprise.......all the NTL digital channels were there in perfect qualtity. Couple of minutes later most of the channels had changed to a "You are not subscribed to this channel" notice.

So, it certainly seems possible to get digital here.....but NTL dont want to sell me it.
