Just thought I'd post this up.

This lets you transfere images from your usb digital camera to your iPod. I was considering getting a new 1gb CF card, but now I think I'll get this, as I have a 20gb iPod. 20 times the storage for cheaper than buying the card.

freaky... theres finally an actual understandable reason to own an ipod! Never did I think I'd see this day...

Definately a nessecary item for the photographer that has more ideas for photos than there is space on a CF card.

Cheers for the link Jim, I know a few ipod owners that might be interested in this little bit of kit.

The iPod is amazing, it totally changes the way you listen to music. That media reader device has been around for a while but it's a bit on the expensive side. I'm surpriced no third party has designed something cheaper.

I was reading about that device a little more. It says that it transfers the photos via the media cards. Would it not make more sense just to have a conection for usb and connect your camera via it's cable. It would also make for a much cheaper product.

yeah the problem is usb wasnt initially designed to support connecting devices to each other. it requires a "host" to manage connections, unlike firewire for example which can operate independantly of a computer.

hmm, actually, does anyone know if you can connect an ipod directly to a firewire capable digital camera? or video camera?
