Can anybody tell me is it still possible to buy blank audio cassette's anywhere. You know the ones where we used to make our own compilations from in the 80's before we had cd? I've tried a number of places like Dixons and Argos but haven't been able to find any? Thanks.

Crikey, haven't things changed? To be honest I always hated the bloody things & I'm not sorry to see them go. Having said that though, I'm sure I've seen them somewhere. Try those pound/discount shops in town. They have all sorts of crap nobody wants.

These are sold all over the place. HMV, Golden Discs, Power City, Lidl, Tesco, Euro-shops.

You could try record shops like HMV or golden Disks they usually have a big basket full of them in packs of five or ten.

I tried Lidl and Adli but they didn't have any, maybe they were out of them at the time.Just had a look at the Argos catalogue and they're there alright. Don't know how I missed them last time.I can't stand tapes anymore but I promised somebody a copy of a rare live bootleg that I have! Thanks a mill!

    not really surprising

no offence to PWEI but some people automatically assume that once a new format becomes the industry standard then all previous formats magically vanish from the face of earth,

I still buy some vinyl - new and second hand - but constantly have people expressing their deep surprise that vinyl still exists - despite it holding its own in the market and being available in many shops. The usual bull**** "you can't get record players anymore" [yes you fcuking can!] is trotted out

Likewise with VHS. A work colleague solemnly announced that "very soon there will be no videos". He recently bought a new Home Cinema system/DVD player and was boring everyone about its virtues.
A fancy system like that is wasted on such a person
