6800 Ulrta versus X800XT

    The reviews are coming out for ATI X800XT and X800PRO cards and its be pitted against the Geforce 6800Ultra.

    Check out anandtech & tomshardware for reviews.

    From what I can tell so far the X800XT is offering best performance in real world tests while the 6800 does better at benchmarking.

    They seem very close and running AA and AF no longer mean dominance in every game for ATI. Again better directx9 for ATI but OpenGL is still nvidia territory.

    Pros so far for X800XT so far seem better stock speeds in games and much lower power required. However it over clocks poorer. While Apparantly nvidia overclocks better the forthcoming 6800 ultra extreme is probaly just a 6800 ultra overclocked but with lower power drain and only 1 power supply coonector needed. x800Xt is very poor at overclocking. However they perfornamece showing of the extreme ultra is still inconclusive and its hard to determine if it will be faster. Either way you aint going go far wrong getting one.
