Yes ladys and gents he's back causing u all trouble, but this time i swear its not my fault its the Ipod and Itunes that is causing me hassle

the problems i have with it are:

    1. is there any way to get the music from my ipod onto a different machine, am using one in college at the moment (with mac's) and if i change machines the itunes wipes the memory of my ipod and fills it with whatever it in the itunes on the mac

this has to stop lost some very good music that way plus when i get it set up at home is it going to wipe out the music on it?

    2. in relation to backing up my music can i use a different program to detect the ipod, i dont think windows media player does, friend has it on xp and wont detect it

    3. the usb connection in my friends laptop is 1.1 when we loaded the ipod a message saying USB overloaded or faster connection needed came up could this be the problem? i didnt think that was the case though, i taught u could use a 1.1 connection with ipods

any information u need to help me out just ask

    Philip

You could try deactivating the option to syncronise the ipod with itunes.

That could be whats causing the problems...

i've been having that problem too

just make sure whatever machine has itunes on it make sure this option is turned off before you connect the ipod

if you want to take music off your ipod is a different story it's doable but the filenames are like goobley gook.

open the ipod in disk mode

go to folder options and tick show hidden files navigate the hidden folders and you'll find your music
