Couldnt be arsed going - there are more gigs this year that will mean more to me lyrically, musically and generally - and for me Metallica are not one of them

saw them last year, it was a good gig but I realised something after it..
I just don't like metallica any more. bleh. the storm of 14 year old kids that were in the pit the last time can have them.

I saw them in the point in 96 and 98 (I think), they were great in 96 not so good the next time. If i was giving a ticket for them now i would sell it, there is a 3 day metal/hardcore festival in France (Fury Fest) which is cheaper (including camping),and has 60 good bands. I know they put on agood show but over 70 euros! and the support!

I grew up on Metallica, but just cant bear them anymore and its not just the music its everything about them, they were masters of the underground its where they came from and now they are just killing it..........its all money, money, money!

After much internal debating with myself I decided to headup. Heading up with a few other mates so it will be a good beer fuelled day out if nothing else. As like most other people I wasnt to bothered going again this year after seeing them only a few months ago.

Ill go, as long as i can bring some form of high powered sniper rifle and can be guaranteed a good line of sight at the drum riser.
