    Hi eveverybody,
    just a quick question,

I have an old digibox with really old software and get the English EPG by default with no card inserted, however SKY news interactive is not working properly and i'm sure its down to the old software, so can I get the latest software with no card inserted and keep the default EPG the same. Will sky automatically update the software regardless of the card or does the box need to be plugged into a phone line with the card inserted in order to update the software. The card is the old type (light blue one) does this make any difference, as soon as I put the card in I get the Irish EPG.

p.s. The box is a Grundig and BBCi works fine.

why does everybody use the term "quick question" :D

Anyway try a forced download (take the card out first) and this should bring the sw up to date.

    Good luck
