Fellow boards members, I am relying on you to support unsigned Irish music by coming to this party event at The Village, Wexford Street on May 13th. This will be a cracking show featuring support from Sundogs and special guest Marcus Valentine. Admission €10 including a free copy of the single.

This single has been totally funded, recorded, produced and published by us - not a fat music industry type in sight. After the single is released on May 14th, we will be embarking on a 25 show, 11 day nationwide tour in conjunction with Gigsmart, more details of the tour available on http://www.newcoloursoul.com.

The single is €3.99 and will be available from all HMV stores, Tower Records, Road Records and about 15 other independent stores nationwide (thanks to Gigsmart who are helping with distribution). This is a really good opportunity to get some quality independent music high up in the charts, which will result in the big record companies realising that people do actually listen to music other than the manufactured tripe currently dominating the charts. This can only be good news for all independent bands who are struggling to make it, so help support unsigned music - come to the launch night! Buy the single!

    Robbie

Yeah, it's pretty savage alright! The gigs are spread across 16 counties, which doesn't help either! Thankfully most of them are things like 45 min sets at all ages gigs and shopping centre / in-store gigs. I reckon many a Red Bull will be drunk that week....

I'll post up the tour schedule tomorrow for the craic.

Cheers Squall, that'd be cool! A couple of things though, it's actually €5 with no concessions for having the single, but that also includes entry to the club afterwards, so not a bad deal (but don't let that stop you buying the single of course ;) )

Also, the support band are of course the Red Sea Pedestrians, not the Red Light Pedestrians.... I wonder what I was downloading when I typed that up....

    Ahoy from the funk bus!

We're taking a quick break from our hectic schedule to drop you a line to say thanks for all the support, and to let you know that we have an unofficial chart position and we've made it into the top 40. This is fantastic news, but being the overachieving funksters that we are, we really want to push to get into the top 20.

So, if you haven't picked up your single yet, please, please do so before Thursday evening. If you have already got the CD, i think you'll agree that one just ain't enough, and that a second or third copy would really make all the difference!

A big push on this before Thursday could give us just enough sales to take on the big boys and get exposure for REAL music by REAL musicians. And all for less than the price of a pint? You really have no excuse, buy it, and buy it now!

Available throughout Ireland in all HMV and local record stores, and online at www.roadrecs.com or www.newcoloursoul.com
