Ron Blacks on Dawson St on Sunday afternoons.

Check JJs on Aungier St too. Jazz there a couple of nights per week.

Thought I saw a sign up outside the cafe a door or two down from McCullough Pigott on Suffolk Street, saying they had live jazz on Saturday nights, never been tho.

The Boom Boom Room above Conways on Parnell Street. Has excellent live jazz most nights of the week, with the odd splattering of blues or funk. Listings on www.getagig.ie

I used to go to Mother Reilly's in Rathmines to see a jazz band play. Still is the best gig I've ever seen!
Last I heard is they play every second Tuesday night there, but I'd definatly recommend checking it out, you won't be disappointed!

Its lead by Tenor Sax dude John Earle, who you'll have heard playin in Thin Lizzy's Dancing in the Moonlight.
These are top class jazz musicians who take some standards & some lesser known jazz tunes and do their own versions of them.

Thanks a million, I'll have to check them all out and give them my seal of approval.

If anyone's looking for info on the Dublin Jazz & Blues scene, take a look at www.dublinjazz.ie
There's a weekly podcast and full gig listings for all the venues in the city.

    Thanks,
