Online satellite photos of ireland

    I remember three years ago, looking at this irish website that would give u maps of ireland much like www.mapquest.com. I remember typing in my address and clicking the results to get more and more detailed views until eventually it popped up an aerial photo of my house :D. But i can't for the life of me remember what that site was. Has anyone got any idea. I remember it had "esat" in the address somewhere. I tried google but no luck.

    It's on the IOL site somewhere but you have to pay for it now.

    If you are in Dublin, there is a journey planner on www.dto.ie that is much the same. About the only useful thing the Dublin Transportation Office have ever done!

    IOL maps - you have to pay now - pay via sms text..

    www.terraserver.com, I think microsoft had one at one time as well...terrraserver.microsoft.com... seems to be limited to the US though now.....

    crap, that was fast. I've only just had time to make myself a bowl of weetos.

    it must have been iol i was thinkking of so, not esat. tis a bit cheap on their part though having to pay.. suppose 60c isn't a whole lot though.

    Yeah, the service is provided by Mapflow. They used to provide this service free from their own website, but when they started charging for it, they had to do the same on IOL. MyHome have the same base mapping, so you can get the same"experience" for free there :)
