Did anyone go to see Duran at the point on the 8th of April? I'm a big fan but was out of the country.

this big duranie went and it was damn deadly :)
there was no sign of teenage groupies so it was the nearest i've got to the point stage since, err, my teenage groupie days.
was too small to have seen them in the 80s but i doubt they could have put on a better show than this - 2 or 3 dodgy new songs but the rest was full of the best!
union of the snake! is there something, planet earth, save a prayer, new moon, reflex, wild boys, hungry, ordinary world, come undone, notorious and rio and girls on film for the encore

simon and the boys(well they still look in good shape) were in top form and lovin it and as you know it was a sell-out crowd. Played for just over 2 hours too which is more than you get from the younger folk these days!

You'll be gald to know you missed a great show ;)

    was great

They played all the old stuff u wanted to hear, except A view to Kill and some new stuff. I think its fair to say nobody really cared about the new stuff but the videos they played to them were fun.

Thanks for the feedback guy's. Sounds like I missed a great show :(

I saw them in Dublin (with Warren) 3 years ago which was class. Personally I'm looking forward to hearing the new stuff as I havn't stopped following since the split in `86. I wonder will the new stuff with the old 5 be as good as the old days? We will see...

    Thanks again.

I adore Goldfrapp and went to DD just to see them but I thought they really werent into it though...and I think i read somewhere afterwards in an interview they felt Belfast and Dublin were poor shows because they hadnt played in a couple of weeks/months and that the first couple of shows are always a bit dodgy until they find their feet or something...They did look fantastic however - I agree bout the tassles ! :)

Duran were impressive even though I wouldnt be a big fan, they put on a good show.
