    ok now this is probly irrelavent to about 99.8% of boards readers but the other .2% of readers will be glad to know.

    the 161 is a quaint old bus root that takes in rockbrook, taylors lane, whitechurch, balinteer and nutgrove.

    now heres the trick;

    durint the after noon you may notice a big gap in bus times (or last bus) for it coming from rockbrook. Thats cause the bus heads back to donnybrook. Now if your on this bus ask the driver when he ends in nutgrove.if will he be kind enough to give you a lift part of the way to donnybrook and if he or she is , you can get a lift to the bird avenue entrance to UCD. Very handy if you want to go there in the evening at 8ish for a session, its also good on sundays.
    Used it a good bit and driver was sound abou it.

    my guess is that enough people use this trick they may extend service!

    LOL - I'd say you may have underestimated the % of people who would find that useful!
