big problem with ipod 10gig

    got the gf a 10gig ipod, grand had all the software installed on my laptop as i have the 15gig version, anyways it wasnt regsitering as ipod connected or anything but you see the rem ovable drive in my computer, i got anapod explorer aswell trial and tried to connect the ipod to that but it said the ipod wasnt connected or it wasnt formatted, so me being stupid went into my computer and formatted the removable drive, now i turn on the ipod and its in disk mode, so i know what iv done deleted the ipod software, how do i get it back ?? can i download it or anything, shes gonna rip me apart:/

    Go to apples site and download the latest firmware/drivers/software for your ipod. Then hope to god it works.

    iv got the latest updater but when i open it in windows it comes up as ipod service error..:/

    Does the restore function work in the updater?

    uninstall EVERYTHING you can find relating to the ipod, and try reinstalling.

    Then try redownloading the installer from a different source (in case its corrupted).

    i figured thaqt problem out, the updater is working grand, i tried reset factory settings it says it worked and plug it into psu adapter and blah blah, did that still the folder picture flashed and a little !..

    i need to install the sotware into the ipod id say:/

    i dunno im fair annoyed
