I'm looking for a reasonably cheap set of decks/turntables with a mixer etc.. Does anyone know where I could pick a set up? Would it be worth purchasing a set abroad? Any other info I should look for?
    Thanks

    www.thomann.de

they love their irish customers, they are really good value, lots of people recommend them. it all depends what youre looking for...

i have a pair of numark tt1650's which are sweet but not very accurate and their light weight makes rumbles a problem... the numarks are among the nicest budget decks though....

best advice is to hold out for technics, they hold their value and they are built like tanks. i've seen people driopping them down flights of stairs with no adverse effect, plus if you ever get a gig you will be playing on technics and you'll have to compensate for that...
