As per my post a few weeks ago we saw the Lockheed Martin Atlas 2AS rocket launch during our holiday in Florida. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. The rocket took off at 8:45pm so it was dark. It was like the sun was rising as the most birlliant white ball of fire left the earth and was easily viewed right up into space where it appeared like a star. The rocket boosters were clearly visable as they were jettisoned from the rocket. I have some digital camera pics which I can post if anyone is interested?
