    Hi Lads
Recently I have seen these FM Transmitters available on ebay that let your MP3 player be tuned into a car radio. I was wondering has anyone tried one of these yet and if so which one.

I got one a couple of weeks ago from amazon.
Great quality sound through the radio from it.
    Nice and compact too.

Did you make the cable longer to get a better reception

That one i posted is STG£17.
I tested it out to 50 feet on all sorts of channels.
Reception was perfect withou any modifications.
Even overrode some channels that i purposely tuend it to.
ie turn radio on and tune into a channel. You can hear the radio stations.
Flick the switch on the transmitter and you can hear your music and radio station is gone completely. Turn transmitter off and radio station is back.

It plugs into the earphone socket and uses 2 AAA batteries so you can use it with anything.

cheers for all the info guys anyone know where to purchase one of these in Ireland

You can't get them in Ireland as they're illegal here (stupid communications laws). Import one yourself, just hide it if you get pulled over :)

try everything-ipod.co.uk and tick the box saying you understand the transmitter to be ilegal to use and won't be using it to broadcast!
Bought one last week and received it within three days of ordering (cost 40 quid sterling), works OK slight hiss in dublin city centre
