My opinion is the person who made that probbley dosnet like Jonas.

I think he is a ok char we only had him for 1 season so its hard to say if he was better than danials 6 seaons.

Umm Michael Shanks left the show to pursue other interests. It was his choice. Corin Nemec was put in a dreadful position, playing a character many would be hostile to immediately through no fault of his own. What was even worse was Nemec's treatment once Shanks decided to return to the show - he just got booted off. If any of you saw the Stargate special that kicked off this season on Sky One, you'll recall how Amanda Tapping said she wasn't allowed talk about the situation of Nemec and Shanks, implying that there's some underlying problems there.

I think in some ways the scriptwriters tried to ease him into the role by mirroring the feelings of the audience in O'Neill's attitude to him. At first he was harsh, but then mellowed somewhat.

His instant departure was a bit see-through though.

He was put in a bad position and from what i heard there was some hostility there.
I mean if u took the place of a actor in a great SCi-Fi show who left of his own choice then retunred and u where told bye bye you wouldent be happy.

Thats what im talking about, suddenly Daniel leaves....(does anybody eelse know any more about this?)...adn then hes replaced by someone whos the exact same as him, has all the same interests and abilities......except for Daniels translating abilities...which he was able to make up for with Daniels notes, and he ultimatly contributed the same things that Daniel did to SG-1.
Except ofcourse ad sex appeal to try and draw a female audience.

So in conclusion......Jon-ASS Quin was a crap character.

I'd have to agree with the picture as I've never liked Jonas. That being said however, I have always liked Daniel so maybe that has something to do with it.

He was trying to be Daniel too much, which was probably the script writers fault, but he always had the "i'm mister perfect good goody two shoes" aura about him which i didn't like. I think his carachter was wooden, unlike Daniel who acted with a bit of passion.

im with dingdong on this. jonas was a crap character through and through. weakly scripted and poorly acted.

as i recall kes was replaced by 7 of 9 in voyager without too much difficulty. therefore urinating quite heavily on your point.

(i also think amanda may have been joking)

I quite liked Jonas's character. He filled the void quite well and I was almost sorry to see Daniel come back

Jonas is cool! He's really funny and he should be back, especially in the 8th Season with RDA's reduced schedule.

There was NO tension between Corin and Michael, what Amanda said in The Lowdown last year, she was joking. She always jokes. THEY always joke, all of them! :P
