Damnation Alley (1969) Hells Angel travells across a post- disaster USA with a serum to save New York. A real pulp classic page turner.

Not to be confused with the movie of the same name which turned the story into a really bad sci-fi flick.

Lord of Light is very good and the Amber series is also good fun

Yup, I'd just like to second Lord of Light - a truly marvellous work.
Unfortunately most of his work is out of print now. Books like Jack of Shadows and Creatures of Light and Darkness are supposed to be among his best but i've yet to come across copies of them. :(
