John de Lancie (Kernel Simmons) (Q) Should have stayed as a gould - he would have played a brillent bad guy. When he got a simboit in him they should have found a way for him to live and escape because he is a good actor and i liked him in both SG1 and Star Trek.

Do you all agree/disagre

What other charactors do u think should not have been killed off or should have been made a gould.

Well I'd have liked to have seen more of Kawalski personally. He was a bit of fun in the brief screen time that he's had.

The obvious other one is from Season 7:

Dr. Fraiser. Would have been fun to see Teryl Rothery go psychobitch on the team.

Am I the only one who still stubbornly refuses to believe that Apophis is dead? He wasn't incinerated. He's fine. He'll be back any day now and show Anubis how a real System Lord should behave...

Ixoy is correct apophis personal shield was advanced and would have surived.

As for Sokar he is dead but he was brillent, "That is not possible I controll natoo"

I dont think the should have killed off the Tokra queen, Igeria(sp).

Could have been some rather cool story lines involving her turning out some dodgy messed up tokra who werent so nice after all.

She is still alive in my belief. The tokra leading conciel seems fractured they are going behind 1 anothers backs (season 7 episode where the allaience fell aprart, cant remember the name)

The "bad" part of the conciel probbley placed her in a carfegus.

However, with regards to your original post, I doubt anyone would have wanted him to stay or if he would have wanted to stay.

Apparently he is a prick in real-life and no cast likes working with him.

And I assure you, Apohis is dead :dunno:

But in fairness...for a system LORD didnt he only have two ships?...both of which were blown up by four people.

I beg your pardon, it was made adimantly clear at the end of season 7 that Hammond was leaving. At the end he said that he was "finally gonna retire" etc....etc....

....i dont know that becasue of any spoilers, i dont read spoilers myself.

my reasoning was hammond might only be temp gone and might be back and i assumed that u read season 8 spoilers and saw he was perm gone.

To be honest i am glad that Star Gate is willing to kill characters. It is supposed to represent the real world, and so people die, espically in war.

Ye they seem to kill chars that ppl like tho why not on purpse nmake a annoying char and have him for a few weeks then give him a painfull death and all the fans would be happy.

Lets count the ammount of times whena charactor has said they are retiring or thay have had enough. My point is i wasent 100% sure he was gone until u said it - no big deal i dont care that much if i did care u would know it.

Come to think of it...most of season 7 sucked also, no-one cares about their personal lives.

The ship he was on crashed into his home planet Delmac (as well as being infested with replicators). There was clearly a large explosion which I doubt anyone could have survived not matter what kind of personal shield they had.

One of Ra's footmen was called Apophis (something I noticed in the credits).
Did they ever try and tie up the loose ends between the film and the series? They did a good job integrating parts of the two, but there was some inconsistencies in the story behind Ra's enslaving of the human race. Did they ever try to make out that he was in total control of all Goa'uld until his death or something?

Oh, and they shouldn't have killed Dr. Fraiser. She was hot.

Well Ra was the Head Honcho System Lord alright, but yes there are some unreconciable differences.
Some are small - for example Sha're, Daniel's wife from Abydos, was called Sha'uri in the original movie. Those characters played by the same actors as in the movie, e.g. Kassuf, retained their name (except for the leads obviously). O'Neill makes some humorous nod to the Stargate movie O'Neil at one point by saying "That's O'Neill with 2 Ls."
To be honest, the biggest difference is that Ra is a little grey alien in the movie and there's no such thing as Goa'uld. FWIW, I believe in the notion that the movie isn't what happened previously in the SG-1 universe, just most of what happened. The TV show, "The Crow: Stairway to Heaven" got around the problems of incorporating the movie into a show's legacy by having the pilot episode be a remake of the movie but with the appropriate actors and storylines setup...

watch the movie again you will note that Ra looks VERY VERY VERY much like a Asguard. Looks like a cross between a older asguard
(remember the ones from before they started cloning?) and a new small asgaurd.

Now if so was he just a evil asguard or a asguard with a gou`auld in him?

Ra was the suppreme system lord at one point yes i think that when Haseria (dont know how to spell it) the tokra queen rebelled after Ra Crushed her rebellion and captured her.
