I'm a part time worker in a pub and i gave my notice and im leaving on saturday. Ive worked every weekend for a year and 4/5 months. I ask my boss about holiday pay after a year and he told me to basically to **** off. I work about 15 to 20 hrs a week.

Am i due holiday pay and how should i go about it to get it?

Does he have to show in his books that he is paying his staff holiday wages?

yeah laoisfan is right abt dept of trade & employment/labour relations

I used to work in a certian newsagent/deli chain and they were messing me around for 3 months abt my hol pay - i'd go across town every week to collect it and they'd fob me off....anyhoo I rang the labour relations advice place and they sent me a form - u fill it in sayng what ur grievence is and send it to them - i sent the form in on a Friday evening and I had the monies by Tuesday....You could tell ur boss u'll ring them and see if u get any joy or jst go ahead and complain - he'll prob get audited! :p:p

It's his responsibility to decide when you should take holidays. If he didn't in the first year, then you should be entitled to rollover holidays or pay in lieu.

Chances are, you're down on his books as a business expense, not an employee. Do as the other suggest, shop in the greedy prick.
