many people put up positions that come up in their company. thats cool. i like the idea of funky boardsters helping out each other. good community spirit. but please, if you are going to advertise a job, try to make sure theres some basic detail. i have seen jobs advertised as 'job in support - pm me'
as you can imagine, you are going to be typing some long replies to peoples questions.
isnt it so much easier to give everyone the details the first time :)
so, if you have a job that you know of, or you are the person doing the recruiting (and i dont include agencies, you get your own mention down there \/ ) please add in info like
    -location
    -job spec
-any renumeration package (even if its just reference)
    -qualifications (or experience) prefered
it just helps everyone a lot more

Thanks lads, that is it alright, I am sure there are plenty of lads out there looking.

All that I can say is send in your CV and see what happens.
They have advertised locally but will move nationwide in the next few weeks as it seems they have not got a good calibre of CV's in.
Mayo based job, Claremorris. They will not look at grads for the programmers. The pace here is very fast so as for coming here and not having very solid VB or C++ along with good SQL and Crystal all you will be doing is putting yourself under extreme pressure. Learning the retail trade and getting the software out there is the biggest time consumer.

    PROGRAMMERS

CBE Ireland’s number one supplier of Systems and Software to the Retail Sector now has opportunities for experienced programmers to develop their careers. The successful candidates will join a dynamic, successful team that is the best at what they do. They will be joining the fastest growing division in CBE Software, Enterprise Board Company of the Year. The position will involve the design and development of retail software for the Irish and International markets. Prospects for career development and advancement are fantastic. Excellent financial package and conditions.

    Qualifications:

Good grades in a recognised qualification in computer programming. At least one to two years experience in C/C++/VB 6. An advantage would be knowledge of MSVC++v6, SQL, Crystal Reports.

Experience in Windows DNA Architecture and/or COM+/ActiveX Development will be found welcoming along with handheld technologies be they Batch or RF based.

There are also field service engineers jobs going, I do not have any details on these.
You will be given a van and full training but you need to have either an IT or electronics background. You need a clean license, not sure if u need a full one or not.
They are looking at grads as far as I know.
What you can do is ring 094 71755 and just ask them to email the job spec.

    Best of luck
