Has anyone installed it yet? Any comments? Is it possible to upgrade from MDK10 Beta or Community without formatting?

I installed a few days ago and amn't that happy with it.
I was running 9.1 previous to this and found that a lot better.

I have had web browsing problems i.e. it's slower than it should be.
And I ticked most of the options to install software i.e. Multimedia station etc but still most of the default apps I had in 9.1 had not been installed by default.

I've read up on the browsing problems I'm having but nothing has helped.
Tempted to revert back to 9.1.

That's a bit crappy. Had you made a sytem backup of 9.1 or do you have to go formatting, reinstalling and reconfiguring all over again?

Yup a reformat. Needed the space for windows. So I'll reinstall 9.1 today.
I've heard of other people having the same web browsing problem as me.
The other thing which bothered me was that upon boot it fails to recognise any other filesystem(i.e. Windows) saying I've too many installed which is crap as 9.1 had no problems, Lindows had no problem and the live cd of Knoppix had no problems seeing my Windows partition.

Community was awful for me until I tuened off APIc support, then its ok, but I still like 9.X better. Also, URPMI seems hosed for me - I'll probably upgrade to 10 Official when the ISOs come out to see if its any better. No way they're getting any money for this one though...

i got the live bootable cd of mandrake10.
It got to the splash screen, and that was it. just hung straight after that.

try turning off ipv6. google for disabling it. may help your net problems. it kept crashing my wireless acess point AFAICT. I've gone back to 9.2

Windows seems to be slower than when i was dial up with mandrake 10!

It's my first go at linux so i'm sure it can be fixed, but for now i think i might go back to using windows until i find some guides on-line to help me.

Why does my windows partition and other harddrive not show as having anything on them??

Installed Mdk 10 Official on Saturday, and have yet to notice the slightest difference between it and BETA 2. Then again, I'm not really sure what I should be looking for :D No problems, though, upgrade was smooth and flawless.
Downside is that KDE 3.2.1 still has all the bugs of its predecessor.
