This idea came to me on my last thread and i was just wondering what are peoples favourite Calvin and Hobbes sketches. I know there are simply hundreds but my favourite has to be the one where Cavin invents the Transmogrifier gun and hobbes eventually turns him into an owl, brilliant stuff.

    Another one:
Scene: School Bus Stop- Calvin (in bad mood) and Hobbes waiting

Hobbes:Your mom sure was cheerful this morning.
    Cavin:HMPH
Hobbes:Ive never seen her humming and sahaying around the kitchen like that.
    Cavin:HMPH
Calvin:How long have we been waiting for the bus now?
Hobbes:About two and a half hours.
Calvin:I think mom put me out here this early on PURPOSE.

Personal all-time favourite was the one where calvin wants a haircut, ends up deciding to let Hobbes do it, and ends up inventing Tracer Bullet along the way. Sheer class.

"If mom sees this, she'll blow her blood vessels!"

"You think that's bad? I didn't even get my eight bucks for doing it!"

    Hehehehe....

For the unitiated, Calvin and Hobbes is a now-dead comic by Bill Watterson. There's a load of collected books, which are worth getting since they usually have extra stuff in them, but you can check out a few strips online on the Ucomics site, over here.

Yeah i forgot he died his stuff I believe was better than PEANUTS. Another one i love is when Calvin wants to get out of doing his homework (as per usual) so he goes forward in time to retrieve it from his future self and then goes back in time to kick his own ass because he hasnt done it.

The one where Calvin has six or so water balloons and Hobbes has one. Cue taunting from Calvin and Hobbes tossing Calvin his one balloon to catch. Cue hilarity.

There are so many good Calvin and Hobbies strips that it's so damn hard to choose one.

I always loved the ones where Calvin comes home from school and Hobbies pounces on him. One of my favorite is the one where he sneaks around the back of the house and he walks right up behind Hobbies (who is looking at the door and readdy to pounce), and then Calvin yells at the top of his lungs "I'M HOME". Hobbies jumps into the air and in the next pic you see calvin all scraced up.:D Good Stuff.

The one where Calvin imagines dinosaurs flying M-16's to catch their prey. Just brilliant, and very silly.

I liked the one where they decide to go to the yukon (it's a really long one) and they get into a fight and calvin goes home but then gets worried when hobbes doesn't come home. I thought the best bit was when his mum and dad are out looking for hobbes and his mum starts calling his name.

To my mind one of the all time greats is when Calvin bring Hobbes into the kitchen to show him something. He puts a slice of bread in the toaster and the pair of them wait for a minute. The toast pops and Hobbes, seeing toast but not plain-ol' bread, asks incredulously "where did the bread go?" Calvin responds, almost overcome with the excitement of the mystery, "I don't know!!!"

One of my favourite bits alright. I prefered one of the christmas one's though where Calvin tells Hobbes he hasn't gotten him anything because he forgot, and and Hobbes says the same. They give each other a hug as a present, and Calvin mutters the hug is to tight, it's squeezing his tears out. Always made me feel nice and warm inside.

For a pure laugh out loud moment, my favourite is when Calvin gets Hobbes to turn him into a tiger, and the end of the strip shows Calvin as a tiny tiger. I always though the expression on both their faces, plus the size combined to make a brillaint image.

I've got almost every book I'd say... Favourite? Can't think, it's been so long...
One that comes to mind is the one where he breaks stuff, gets the Groucho Marx glasses and tash and says "Who eeeez zees KAHLVEEN?"

amazon.com . The shipping is quite a lot but still cheaper than .co.uk . Same some of them in Easons but most were shrinked to something like A5 - looked bad.

Favourite? All of them, all are great (well, except spaceman spiff stuff :( )
but loved especially the one in B/W where he says 'That's just the way things are sometimes!'

Okay folks, heres the deal. I have on my computer as far as I know every single Calvin and Hobbes ever printed. They're all nicely indexed and everything by year and month of print so I hunted down the one's I pointed out earlier, plus another one I quite like and I'm putting them in.

However, since they only take about 20k per image, and I have lots of space on my boards account, I'm also going to hunt down all the one's ye post up as well. It might take a day or so, but they'll all go up eventually.

Just think of it as my present to you for all the money ye give me in dole every week :D

    So, without further ado:

    Anytime they make snowmen....

    Ingenius creations altogether!!

So ingenius, infact, that one Christmas we tried our hand at some Calvin & Hobbes snow sculpting. It was dark drunken affair.

Anyone still want me to do this when I get my laptop back from PC World (which is hopefully later on today :) )?

I'll put in all the snowmen ones as well as all the one's mentioned so far within a few hours of getting it back.
Sorry, but revisiting my porn collection comes before posting Calvin and Hobbes pics

Yeah, the snowman series is fantastic. The two that spring to mind are the road carnage and the snowmen wretching where the father guesses what's for dinner by their state :D

ch870328.gif had me in stitches :)

    It is what it's.

    I don't remember saying/typing that.

In other news, I finally have a working laptop, and a net connection at the same time for the first time in weeks. It feels good, so i'll repay that feeling by eventually slogging through all those Calvin & Hobbes, picking all the best ones (which coincidentally) are mentioned here), and posting them up. Should have them up in an hour or two. I just want to get caught up on what i've missed this past week or so since I was on basically. Please Lord it won't take as long as last time did. I haven't slept in long enough as it is without that happening again.
