    Hey.

Does anyone know if/when we are gonna get those 20-30 per cent extra channels to our digital lineup as reported in the Sunday Times a while back?

I'm thinking of moving to sky, due to the poor selection of channels on ntl, so I want to know if any "improvements" (yeah - right!!!) are on the way?

Have you still not moved yet? You are on about moving for ages now.

If you are that unhappy with the service why should any extra channels intice you to stay

I DO want to move, but the reasons are:

    1) Cost - too expensive monthly
    2) No UTV and Channel 4
    3) No multi room viewing
    4) You need a satellite dish
    5) I have to break 12mth contract with ntl
    6) I can take my ntl digibox and connect it to any signal point around the house.

    I might get the €1 install on sky.com/skycom ...

Nothing of any interest - Sky Mix, a couple of kids and music channels....stuff that Dublin has had for ages.

Ah, they must be trying to bridge the gap of the amount of channels between the Wat/Gal & Dublin networks.

Galway got Sky One Mix a few weeks back and a few others. We catching up on Dublin.

Now if they traded Cartoon +1 for Living, i would be happy.

    cheers

They have an ntl channel in Waterford?
How come they do not have such a channel here in Dublin?
Sky and chorus have their own information channels
But, I suppose they have to save on bandwidth :D

Btw. What channels does Galway/Waterford NOT have on digital that Dublin DOES have?

    POST NUMBER 100 !!!!! :D:D:D

Two that spring to mind straight away are Euronews and Eurosport. We dont get them in Waterford. I am not sure of the complete channel listings for Dub/Galway.

I thought that Dublin got Eurosport. We used to get it on the cable network downhere but they pulled it a few years back. Ah well.

So do u know of any other channels that Dub get that Waterford/Galway dont?

You can check out the channel line up for Galway/Waterford and Dublin at ntl.ie
(The Galway/Waterford line up is missing Cartoon Network,Sky one mix and TMF).

Cartoon Network+1 is a total waste of bandwidth!!
Any channel would be better(even the God channel)

Dont know if that listings is up to date. We do get Sky one mix and TMF and Cartoon Network, here in Waterford

Does anyone have any more word on when ntl are planning to launch that big expansion of their digital package to provide 20-30% more channels, as reported in the Times?
