Yup I was there, about 8 feet from the man himself. I thought it was an excellent show. The support act were great, really got the crowd going.

Clapton could have done a little better with the choice of the first few songs I think, maybe thrown in one or two more of his older stuff instead of playing them later in the show. Also he didnt really interact with the crowd all that much, kinda said very little.

Also the sounds wasnt great(it being the point), especially Steve Gadds Drums, although that was partly due to be how he had them tuned.

Overall though it was amazing experience one I wont forget soon. Ill never think of have you ever loved a woman the same again, live it was awesome. :)

P.S. People if your going to a concert try to refrain from clapping if you have no rhythm. Gadd had to count the band back in at one stage because the crowd was clapping wayyyy too fast. :)

Sounds pretty similar to the gig in Belfast. Very professionally done. Didn't think much of the support band, then Clapton came on, played Let it Rain very well and then played 45 mins of mediocre material. Then played some Robert Johnson and things picked up from there. Layla and Cocaine were excellent, but there was no audience interation.

While he's still got the motor skills, and his band were excellent, it was a great experience etc. it just felt automated, as if this was the tour where he makes enough money to retire, and he just wants to get it over and done with.

But it was a very good gig all the same, and Eric deserves his pension. Shame the audience weren't more lively.

I thought the show was excellant, It was a dream to see Clapton, I loved most of the show,

Let It Rain, Hoochie Coochie Man, I shot the sherif, Bell Bottom Blues, When you got a good friend, Milk Cow blues, Kind Hearted woman, Gotta Get better, Have you ever loved a woman, badge, layla, cocaine, sunshine of your love, get my mojo working.

I think the set list above speaks for itself, totally awesome. I was sitting down in the point, and the sound was unbelievable, I couldnt believe how good it was.

I think the show was too short, if you look at the japan tour at Christmas, it was over 45 longer, along with all the bigger known songs , lay down sally, before you accuse me, change the world, nobody knows, crossroads.

Did any one here record that show on minidisc or anything, I did, but it turned out crap.

I was sitting down in the point,

Dunno how you could have sat through a show like that. You just had to move :)
and the sound was unbelievable, I couldnt believe how good it was

I didnt think it was great at all. Might possibly have been that the main speaker rigs were behind me. But hell if it was that it was worth it, 8 feet from the man I tell ya 8 feet :)
