Graphics card buggered?

Hey I left my machine on overnight to test stability of an overclocked processor. Woke up this morning and everything was fine. Went to press start and shut down and the screen just went blank.

Started back up and I got the one beep for everthing ok but no display at all. Not even bios. It's still loading windows though because I hear it starting up so the processor is ok. I had my graphics card overclocked the nite before but not by much and I had it turned back down before running prime95 to test the processor.

Graphics card fan is still moving and the heatsink still warms up so the core is still heating up as normal on it? Is it gone and if so will I still be under warranty considering I turned the clock back down on it.

unless you soldered your card, there is no way they can check what overclock (if any) you put your card under. But it sounds pretty wierd.

Have you checked all cables, and even plugged the stuff in and out again. Also, try and grab a different card and test that.

If you overclocked your FSB, and you dont have a PCI/AGP lock, reset that to default speeds (check your bios manual to see how to do this).

Other than that, i think its RMA time.

I tried it in my other system and the same problem. No signal coming from the graphics card. Everything is connected properly by the looks of it.

Bloody hell have to go posting this crap off to ATI now. Wonder if they would replace it with one of the newer ones if I kicked up a fuss and if they can't fix it hmmmm.

All the BIOS settings were correct. I had the agp lock on unless that was faulty. I heard something about that between the ic7-max 3 and ati cards.

So there is definately no way they can tell it was overclocked?

Just tried it im my system again and it gave me a load of fast non stop beeps from the BIOS. This is for faulty graphics card isn't it?

probably. Grab a different card just to check it isn't the AGP slot thats borked.

Other than that, RMA the bitch. And there is definately no way they can check, as the overclocking is done with software, no hardware changes happen.

Yeah I have sent an e-mail to ati. Just waiting for a response now. Is it possible to get a refund for a defective product? Looking on the site now but don't see anything.

Ok it's not the graphics card after all. Tried it in the other system again and it works.

So it's either my processor or my motherboard. Maybe Ram but I doubt it. I have a feeling it might be something simple though.

When I first had the problem I could hear windows loading so it doesn't seem to be the processor. I reset the CMOS so thats not the issue. The BIOS is giving all the appropriate beeps and everything connected to the mobo works so I don't know if it's that either.

Damn these weird problems. Anyone any ideas. Going to check the monitor now.

Turned out to be the monitor. My computer just loves scaring the **** out of me.

Monitor just wouldn't power up. The power led was just flashing on and off. Tried plugging it out for a while and it worked. Lol damn it. I'm after sending an e-mail to sapphire and everything.
