    im thinking of buying a honda civic 1.6ils coupe 1997(7,500euro) any ideas what i should look out for when buying of even if its a good idea

    The aa do an autocheck service and it's very resonable, they even check the crash hisory of the car in question,

    Also the buy and sell regularly have ads from retired AA people/mechanics who will go with you and give professional advice , it's worth the 30 or so euro for peace of mind . having a professional look at it is far better than any 'buying tips' from joe soap :)

    I had a 98 Coupe Lsi last year. Excellent car. I bought mine from a Honda dealer. They come with all electrics as standard. Nothing to really look out for. Just check for full honda service history and if it has high mileage check that the timing belt was done.

    Expect to pay €6500 - €7500 depending on mileage and condition.
